This is the pre-order for the Dixie Zipper. It is version #3 of the pass around. Read all about this knife's design and read reviews of the blade shape, handle angle/shape, sharpness, and size here. Follow that link for updates.
Knife is guaranteed for Christmas, but reality is that we expect to start shipping in Septemberish. The knife blanks are expected by mid August, so after sharpening and assembly they will start shipping. The handles and sheaths will be done and waiting for the blanks. We can't predict the future but we will do our best...

- Blade is 3.22" long.
- Overall knife is 7.22" long.
- Final thickness grind is .0787.
- The blade grind will be as shown in the CAD drawings.
- The steel is AEB-L which was developed as a "razor steel."
- The blade will be hardened to 61-62 Rockwell.
- Blade finish will be tumbled for "stonewash" type finish to remove all grind lines.
- The edges will remain laser cut and tumbled to give it slight grip texture, less than jimping, with option for final polish.
- At this hardness will hold an edge and will field sharpen with a diamond steel.
- Cutting edge is ground to .08-.10 before sharpening so it is very slicey.
- The tip edge is ground to about .15-.20 thick for about 3/4 to 1" before sharpening for more strength.
- Handle is about 4" long and is designed to be able to grind off the rear lanyard hole to make it shorter if you like.
- Handles will be laser cut and shaped, with multiple designs available.
- Handles are removable with recessed bolts.
- Orange and Black sheath's available in taco or pancake style.
- Belt clips will be offered separately to attach to the pancake style, or customer can provide their own.
